- Treasury balance is $8,032.39
- 2008/2009 dues are due to Elayne Littman. Please send your $25 checks to 1229 Masters Row, Chesapeake 23320. You can write your checks out to CHKD Larkspur Meadows.
- April meeting minutes were approved
- Fired Up for Kids! - Annual Dinner Fundraiser

- Total money raised - $7,863 Still waiting for additional checks totalling $390
- $5,000 will be donated to the Child Abuse Center and $2,500 will be put towards our Endowment Fund.
- Lessons learned from this event - Better microphone setup and written contract for all of our events
- Allison Kimnach will be sending a thank you letter to Brett and his team at Fire & Vine
- Photos are being gathered from the event and will be posted on our website. Stay tuned for details. If you have any photos, please send to either Mandy Berkowitz or Laurie Glick.
- Overall, the night was a big success and we have all heard many compliments on our efforts on such an enjoyable evening!

- Joint Children’s Health Center and CHKD meeting - June 3rd 6-7PM at the hospital. Marilyn will be attending and if you would like to join her, please let her know. She will be presenting our donation check at the meeting.
- Run Walk for the Kids - June 14th 6:30-11:30AM 8K run, 2mile & 1mile walk
- Allison Kimnach, Mandy Berkowitz & Amy Goodove are planning on participating and starting a “Larkspur Meadows” Team. Help support CHKD as well as our circle by joining them for a 1 mile or 2 mile walk. Contact Mandy Berkowitz if you’re interested.

- KD Connect Meeting - Other circles have raised $3560 with the B-day Club, It’s 5 O’clock Somewhere event raised $17,000 in auctions.
- Megan Zuckerman updated us on the legislative side of things.
- CHKD has a great relationship with the VA
Congressional Delegation so if you see your Member around town, make
sure you introduce yourself as a Circle Member and thank them for
their support of CHKD.
- CHKD got significant earmarks this year from
Congresswoman Thelma Drake, and they are requesting 20 more beds from
the State Assembly and might need our help reaching out to our State
Representatives to voice our support.
- Nationally, CHKD has been funded more than any other children’s hospital.

- Mandy Berkowitz, chair of committee, has setup our new website with a blog, calendar and photo pages.
