KD Mission Statement:  The King’s Daughters, founding organization of the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters, promotes superior pediatric wellness through dedicated volunteerism in partnership with the Children’s Health System.

King’s Daughters Fun Fact:  The 2009 RunWalk for the Kids was a smashing success!  Participation increased 52% from the year before with over 2,600 runners and walkers.  This year over $80,000 was raised.  Thanks to all who participated.

Past Kings Daughter’s Fun Fact:  The King’s Daughters began in 1897 with $602.06 of “voluntary contributions” and a hired nurse, Miss Edith Nason who traveled on foot her first year and still managed to make 1,771 visits!

Old Business

The King’s Daughters is always looking for extra hands around the hospital.  If you have time to donate, call the office at 668-7098.  These hours are kept by KD separately from your Circle volunteer hours.

Toiletry donations – bring to next meeting

Goodove Oral Surgery Family Day: June 20th – “Dunk the Doc” booth – $600 raised.
